A giveaway is a contest you run that raffles off a prize (or a number of different prizes) for free to contestants. Why run a giveaway? A giveaway gives you the opportunity to drastically increase the number of people on your email list. When you offer the opportunity for people to win something they really want, they're going to (happily) give you their email address. Also, if you give them the opportunity to increase the chances of them winning by sharing the giveaway throughout social media, they'll do that for you too (free marketing for you).

I recommend using KingSumo (I'm not an affiliate - this is just a straight up recommendation).

The pricing is actually very reasonable - it's a flat fee price (meaning you don't have to pay annoying monthly, recurring fees) and it gives lifetime access.

KingSumo is also functional with WordPress (only self hosted - another benefit of not having WordPress.com).

You can also use Rafflecopter for free, but the functionality is very limiting unless you upgrade to a monthly plan at a steep price.
